I am privileged to call you my friend. I think of you as a wonderful gentleman. In life, you were loyal to a fault. You valued authenticity and honesty. I saw you as a man with a deep, loving spirit. I admired your depth of compassion. You had the capacity to “feel” people.
And, regarding your wicked sense of dry humor. Sometimes, when we talked, you gave me that blank stare, giving me the idea you didn’t understand. I would say to you “You just don’t get it”, forgetting you missed nothing. Then you would grin and giggle with glee. Yes indeed, you got it!
Love you, my friend,
Pat (Dr. Pat Haines)
