Workshop: Forgiveness and Reconciliation

Date: June 2, 2024

Time: 12:30-2:00 P.M.

Text: Forgiving and Reconciling by Everett Worthington

Love Offering

In this workshop, we will discuss the difference between forgiveness and reconciliation. While forgiveness is mandatory from a spiritual perspective, reconciliation is an option. In this workshop we will discuss:

* How forgiveness benefits us

* Giving forgiveness to others as a gift

* Gaining understanding of the person that hurt us

* Steps to take in order to forgive

* Reconciliation and the offender

* Accountability of the offender

* The power of an apology

* The need for the offender to make amends

* When reconciliation is not possible

The workshop will give opportunities to discuss how these principles can be used in making decisions in your life on forgiveness and reconciliation.

Memorial Garden Service

Sunday, June 30, 2024, following Sunday Service

We will be adding bricks to the Memorial Garden again this year.  Please stay after service to help us honor the memory of these individuals, as well as all the dear souls represented in our Memory Garden.

SAM Donations

The SAM (Serving Area Military) Center in Massillon helps military veterans and their families in times of need.  They are in need of toiletry items (toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, bar soap, hand soap, shampoo, deodorant…) and non-perish food items.  We have set out a collection bin in the foyer for items you wish to donate.  To learn more about the SAM Center check out their website www.servingareamilitary.com.

Special Collection
Help a local soup kitchen by saving your plastic food containers with lids!  They can also use plastic shopping bags.  A collection bag is in the foyer. Personal hygiene products, socks, and underwear are also welcomed.

We receive money for the aluminum cans we recycle.  There is a collection bin in the foyer.  No steel cans please.
