Events and Announcements

Class Offering:
Tuesday, June 12 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM is the next class entitled “The Abundant Life” based on the book Secrets of Success by Anne Taylor.  The remaining class will be held on Tuesday June 26 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM.

Facilities Volunteers Needed:
With spring well under way the time has come to tend to our beautify property. The facilities team is looking for volunteers to help out. There are a variety of tasks to do, so please fill out a volunteer contact form and return it to Rachel Trembly, Richard Youngblood, or Peter Spillios.

Ed Okey Award Nominations:
Due: Sunday, June 25, 2018
The Ed Okey Award was started in 2012 to recognize volunteers who show outstanding service and dedication to Unity of Massillon.  The award was named in honor of Ed Okey who continues to selflessly serve the church in many ways.  Other volunteers are remarkably dedicated to serving the church as well, so we need help choosing the 2018 recipient.  Nominations can be placed in the suggestion box, given to a board member, or emailed to the church office.

Memorial Garden Service:
Sunday, July 1, 2018 immediately follow Sunday service will be our memorial garden service.  This year we are adding bricks for Mary Dickerson, Louise Dykes, Hilda Stoner, and Harold Stoner.  Light refreshments will be served after.

Bike and Train Ride:
Sunday, July 8, 2018 will be our trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Park to ride the train and bike the towpath.  Please see the information sheet for more details and RSVP to Rachel Trembly.  (racheltrembly@hotmail.com or call/text 330-309-8884)  You may also contact the office.

Special Collection:
Help a local soup kitchen by saving your plastic food containers with lids!  They can also use plastic shopping bags.  A collection bag is in the foyer. Personal hygiene products, socks, and underwear are  also welcomed.

Aluminum Cans
We receive money for the aluminum cans we recycle.  There is a collection bin in the foyer.  No steel cans please.
