“The 3 Pillars of Lent”
The three pillars of Lent are prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. We can often feel weighed down, spiritually, physically and even materially. There is a reason why simplicity has become so popular these days. There is something liberating about not being weighed down by a lot of stuff. We regularly need to shed the excess in our life so as to be free and responsive to God’s Will and the needs of our family, our church, and our community. The three pillars of Lent help us to accomplish this. They are prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.

“As the Spirit Moves Me”
We will discuss the sometimes confusing feelings we have concerning what the right action is to take in challenging situations.  Discover practical techniques to discern if an impulse to take a given action is a message from Spirit and if we should follow that impulse.

“Prayer, Fasting, & Almsgiving”
Prayer fights against the excess of meaningless activity. Fasting fights against excessive sensual pleasures that distract us from fulfilling our vocation and purpose in life. All this giving fights against the excess of materialism and worldly concerns that distract us from recognizing and living for the most important things in life – our love of God, family and neighbor. We moderate the secular pursuits not because of worldly concerns, but as gifts from God, but when they are unchecked they can quickly dominate our lives and even enslave us.

“Release and Reimagination”
This year’s Lenten book is entitled Release and Reimagination. It deals with two of our Twelve Powers: Release and Reimagination. It is time to take stock of what we have been able to release and re-imagine during this period.

“Becoming What the Moment Asks”
In Unity, we understand life as responsive, intelligent, and guided by an indwelling wisdom. The question before us now is not What is happening in the world? but How am I called to show up within it?
On this Palm Sunday—a day that symbolizes conscious entry into a higher calling—we explore how spiritual awakening becomes practical and embodied. How do we listen for divine guidance in times of change? How do we respond with clarity, compassion, and faith when outcomes are still forming? Together, we will reflect on what it means to consciously participate with Spirit—allowing our thoughts, choices, and actions to express the highest truth we know. As we align with the moment before us, we discover that we are not behind, unprepared, or lost, we are being shaped for exactly what is needed now.
